Candyleaf Designs: Brand Design and Shop

I design enamel pins, acrylic charms, and vinyl stickers to sell at conventions and online on my Etsy linked here. Below is my process on how I started designing my creative brand and business.

I began my adventure in designing merchandise in August 2019 and since found a passion for designing physical art, tabling at conventions, and connecting with the creative community.

๐ŸŒฟ Why “Candyleaf”?

My artist name, Candyleaf, symbolizes the pastel color and nature inspiration for my art. I’ve been using this name since 2012, when I first started sharing my art online.

๐Ÿ˜ฎ How did you design Candyleaf Designs?

I started my brand by designing a logo and shop banner. I chose a candy-shaped bunny with a leaf font to symbolize the name of my business.

After conducting a brainstorm of my brand, I made a high fidelity logo with my chosen typography and banner.

After having a solid logo and banner in place, I went to create multiple platforms for my brand on social media using Etsy, Instagram, Facebook, and Patreon so I can grow and interact with my community.

๐Ÿ’ซ What kinds of events do you participate in?

Since I have began my journey of tabling as a vendor in August 2019, I have tabled at 4 different events: Kin-Yoobi Con (August 2019), Lynbrook Holiday Craft Fair (November 2019), Google Holiday Marketplace (December 2019), San Francisco Japantown Mini Art Mart (December 2019).

๐ŸŒป What kinds of merch do you create?

I design enamel pins, acrylic charms, vinyl stickers, and buttons.

These are some highlights – I have more available on my Etsy shop:
