This is Ollie Vacuole, a character in Cell-fie. I drew her while watching Finding Dory on the plane. She is one of my original characters for a future video game/manga that I plan to create. She lives in VacuOcean and her job is to be the guardian and distributer of the Jelly (Green = cell’s nutrients, Red = cell’s waste) to make sure they go to their respective locations within the cell. Ollie has a bubbly personality, which allows her to create more Vacuole bubbles to store elements in different places of the cell.

PhotoJell is Ollie’s helpful friend. She is a jellyfish that helps bring the products of photosynthesis (Glucose only because oxygen gets diffused out) by Klora Kloroplast as well as the cell’s waste products in and out of VacuOcean.

Soma Ribosome

Soma Ribosome is another one of my original characters in Cell-fie. Soma enjoys arts and crafts, especially sculpting. She is very coordinated, like a surgeon. Making sure that the alpha helices and beta pleated sheets in the secondary protein structure go smoothly requires immense precision.

Soma is on a team with Nella Nucleus and DENA DNA as they all work together to make proteins in the cell. Nella sequences the gene for the protein, DENA helps make nucleotides/mRNA/tRNA/Soma’s rRNA, and Soma helps turn Nella’s creations into real life! I also have more drawings on my drawing Instagram.

Mito Mitokondria

LeafStory- Mito

Mito Mitokondria is a character in Cell-fie. She lives in the Matrix City, where she is the ATP guardian. Her job is to make sure that each ATP goes to the correct organelle in Cell Country to keep the power running smoothly so all the proteins will be happily phosphorylated. In addition, she also makes sure that the citric cycle runs smoothly, and there is a proton gradient with higher concentration in the inner membrane space so that ATP can be continually made by ATP Synthy (ATP Synthase’s name).

The inner membrane of the mitokondria is also made of bouncy sillicone jello.
